Sentiments - Lillian Kong Harp Recital 2023

Explore the different sentiments with a selection of virtuosic harp pieces from the 19th- 20th century. The programme is divided into two sections: 

Opera Frenzy delves into three beautiful melody of the intense love-hatred infused opera world, from the operas Rusalka, Eugene Onegin and Cavalleria Rusticana. 

French glitter presents the shimmering magic of harp repertoire in the early 20th century, the most dynamic harp scene happened right in France during this period with the invention of the modern harp, eternalised by Ravel's mesmerising Introduction and Allegro. as well as magical atmosphere created by Pierne, the cheerful joy from Damase Sicilienne Variee, the three episodes of sentiments from mourning the loss of a dear one found in Renie Piece Symphonique: desperate grief to the fury of unacceptance and eventual transcendence into hope.
